Did a little birding in the Alva area after work this morning. The weather was cold and windy today, but the rain was over. Found several Indigo Buntings at the feeders in town. Several are already molting into their deep blue plumage. A few American Goldfinches were present and three Painted Buntings as well. Several White-winged and Mourning Doves were working the ground under the feeders. Drove over Caloosahatce Regional Park, but only found a Common Yellowthroat and a Red-bellied Woodpecker. Found several American Kestrals on the wires and heard an Eastern Meadowlark too.
The camel's definitely in an oasis, Tom.
